Be Confident in Your Salvation

Read - (2 1/2 minutes) - "a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,” (Titus 1:2)

Hope is a powerful thing, it lets people imagine something that they would like to see happen in the future, but there is no guarantee that it will happen. Sports fans begin the season of their favorite team with hope that their team can win the championship. Since there can only be one champion, every team’s fans except one, will end up with their hope unrealized. The same thing applies to hope placed in getting a new job, succeeding in a business, and practically anything else, because in the things of this world, there are few true guarantees. Hope in the world is really wish-ful thinking.
Hope in Christ is totally different. When you believed in Jesus and confessed Him as Lord, you received the hope of eternal life. Heaven is real and this life is not the end. The hope of spending eternity in heaven does not rest on your own goodness or anything that you have done. It rests completely on the work of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection from the dead. God promises eternal life in heaven to everyone who believes, confesses and receives Jesus. He cannot lie and you can trust His promise that heaven is your home. Strong believers have confidence in the promises of God and in the guarantee that their salvation provides. Be strong in your faith. “Christ in you. The hope of glory!” (Colossians 1:27)
