membership
We believe that the New Testament church is a local body of members – spirit-indwelt baptized believers – who gather to observe baptism and the Lord’s Supper, who are committed to accurately preaching and teaching God’s Word, and who seek to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Membership with First Baptist can be through salvation and baptism, baptism, transfer of membership, or statement of faith.
Bill Skaar, pastor
Dr. Skaar leads in the worship life of the church and provides pastoral ministries for the church family while giving administrative leadership to the entire church staff. He began his ministry with First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas in June of 1999 after serving for nine and a half years with Central Baptist Church, Livingston, Texas.
