Jesus is Coming Again - Pursue God’s Work

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves His house and puts His servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. Therefore, keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back – whether in the evening, or a midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch!” (Mark 13:32-37)
       Passage: Matthew 24:36-44

          God loves people. All people. Satan hates people. All people. God wants people to spend eternity in heaven. Satan wants people to spend eternity in hell. God has chosen that the way for people to get to heaven is by believing in Jesus and receiving Him as Lord and Savior. Satan wants to do everything he can to keep people from hearing that good news and receiving Christ. The church, God’s family, has been given the assignment to share the gospel and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20)
        The assignment God gives the church will not be over until Jesus returns. Until that day, God wants His children to pursue His work to fulfill His commission. He has gifted every one of His children with different abilities and spiritual gifts in order to that. Every task in a church is important, and everyone can do something. Jesus is coming again! Are you serving and ready?
