Jesus is Coming Again - Prioritize God’s Word

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Mark 13:30-31)
  Passage: 2 Timothy 3:14-17

         A fun day at the beach for many children and families will often consist of making a sandcastle using different plastic buckets to form the towers and interior buildings of the castle and then building up the walls and moat with their hands. From those simple sandcastles to extremely artistic sand sculptures, everything built with sand will be gone eventually.
        Jesus said that He would return. One way to be ready is to prioritize God’s Word. God’s Word is both the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God and Jesus, who is the incarnate Word of God. Like sandcastles on the beach, everything this world has to offer will pass away. Many people are setting all their priority on the things of this world, but those things are not eternal. God’s Word is eternal. It is full of life and light. We need to love His Word and use things, not love the things and only use His Word as an attachment in life. Prioritize God’s Word by learning from it and then living it out. Jesus is coming. Are you ready?
