JESUS is Alive! - Live for His Purposes

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.’” (Mark 16:7)
  Passage: Philippians 1:20-27

          Peter felt like a failure. He had wanted to do well, but he ended up doing wrong. He had boasted he would defend and die with Jesus, but he ended up denying Jesus three times. All the dreams he had for the future while Jesus was alive had been dashed in the garden and at the cross. Or so he thought. The angel’s word was specific. “Go, tell His disciples and Peter.” Peter need to hear that Jesus wanted to see Him. Jesus had a purpose for him and Jesus still loved him.
         When you believed in Jesus and received Him as Savior, confessing Him as Lord, the Holy Spirit came to dwell within you. He has turned things right side up through the Spirit so that you can live in a relationship with God and fulfill the purposes of your creation. God wants you to glorify Him and work with Him to build His Kingdom. As Paul said, “For me to live is Christ, to die is gain.” My brother Keith understood this. He passed on to heaven on March 31, 2026 at the age of 64. Before he passed, he wrote out his testimony and began it with theses words, “If you are reading this, I have completed the “pilgrimage” through this world that our Lord set for me and I have passed on to my Home fulfilling the purpose of my creation; having an eternal fellowship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Keith lived for God’s purposes. Set your heart to live for them too!
