Passage: Hebrews 4:14-16
The oceans cover about 71% of the earth’s surface. `There is so much water in the oceans that if every person on earth (over 8 billion) could all go into the oceans at the same time, the water would only rise about 1/1000th of an inch. With all that water, the oceans will never run dry, but if there was a possibility they could, they would go dry sooner than the grace of God would be depleted.
God’s grace is unending and it is available to every person on earth. First, it is available for salvation. No one can be saved apart from God’s grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are you saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” When you believed and received Jesus, God forgave your sin and gave you eternal life by His grace. That salvation will never be taken away. Second, His grace is available for strengthening and sustaining you. When John spoke of Jesus receiving grace for grace, he was describing the fact that the grace of God is available daily to enable you to do God’s will and deal with anything that comes your way. Every day, His grace is fresh and available. You don’t have to live on yesterday’s grace. You can live with fresh grace and mercy from God today. His grace is sufficient to meet every trial you face and help you through it. Thank God for His amazing grace and live strong in Christ today.
