Senior Adults Prosper by Faith in Jesus

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “The righteous flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalm 92:12-13)
   Passage: Psalm 122:1-9

        The most important factor in the health of palm trees and cedar trees is good soil and proper fertilization. As the psalmist looked at the palm tree and the cedar tree, he saw how they were growing well and strong within the Temple courts. He saw the trees, and the place where they were as illustrations of how the righteous flourish and grow when they put their faith in God.
        One distinction of the palm tree is found in the root. The root ball of the palm is as wide as the trunk of the tree and it has a large compact mass of roots instead of a spreading root system. That root ball is a good picture of the Holy Spirit coming to dwell in your life the moment you placed your faith in Jesus. At that moment, you received all of the Spirit. Your growth as a Christian can flourish as you respond to Him by faith in worship, a daily time alone in His Word, in stewardship, fellowship and service. Whether a young adult or senior adult, keeping walking by faith and let the Spirit have His way in you!
