DNA - Worship with a spirit of Expectancy

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “There the thrones for judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.’ ” (Psalm 122:5-7)
  Passage: Psalm 95:6-11

The thrones for judgment for Israel were set in the area where worship took place. They were the places where people went to get a clear word of judgment regarding a situation they had in life. It is a picture of the spirit which God would have His children adopt when they come to worship. That spirit is an attitude of expectancy to hear a word from God for their lives.
Many people stop attending worship because they don’t think they get anything out of it. Some attend, but leave with that same thought, or perhaps leave with a critical spirit regarding the music, preaching or some other aspect of the service that didn’t fit their preference. The DNA of the Spirit does not have that attitude. God wants His children to come to worship with a spirit of expectancy that He will manifest His presence as they give Him praise and that He will speak to them through the message as it is rooted in His Word. True worship doesn’t occur when you think it was good. True worship occurs when God thinks it was good because His people expressed their love for Him with eagerness, enthusiasm and expectancy.
