DNA - Worship with a spirit of Eagerness

Pray – (1/2 minute)

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’ Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.” (Psalm 122:1-2)
     Passage: Psalm 108:1-5 

         I jokingly tell people I had a drug problem when I was growing up. I was drug to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night and about any other time our church had something going on. I wish every child had that kind of drug problem. The world would be better off. Though we laugh about that, the reality is that less than 30-40% of people who are members of a local church in America will attend a worship service on any given week.
       That was not the attitude of King David. He was excited about going to worship with God’s people. He anticipated the time and his eagerness to be in the house of God made him feel like he was there even before he arrived. The house of the Lord is any place where a group of God’s people gather to worship. The DNA of the Spirit within you loves to be in God’s house and He is eager to arrive. Let Him have His way and live with a spirit of eagerness to worship with your church family. You will be blessed.
