DNA - Generosity Participates in God’s Work

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, . . .” (1 Timothy 6:18a)
      Passage: Matthew 10:40-42

Everyone does not have the same amount of resources to use and give from, but as long as they have life, everyone has the same amount of time – 24 hours a day; 168 hours a week; 744 hours in a 31-day month. The time you have is a gift from God. How you use the time is your gift back to God.
Service to God should not be viewed simply as being about volunteering in a ministry in your church or community. It is given as you spend time with your family, demonstrating the love of God in how you care, encourage and enjoy each one. It is given as you go to work, school, the gym or anywhere else, showing Christ through your kindness in word and deed. It is also then shown in giving some time to help in a ministry that God has put on your heart. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Be generous in giving of time, talents and treasures to participate in God’s work, which He does in your home, your business and the world in which you live.
