DNA - Jesus Gives us Methods to Use

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “ On one occasion, while He was eating with them, He gave them this command: ‘Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ ” (Acts 1:4)

        When we understand the mission we have to share Jesus, the next question might be, what is the most effective way to do that? The answer is really simple. First, rely on the power of God through His Holy Spirit. God doesn’t call on us to reach people for Christ in our own power and through human gimmicks. The Holy Spirit gives us power for witnessing and He is the one who brings conviction for any decision. Second, we must pray. The early church understood this well. They prayed for God to pour out His power and to use them to reach their world for Christ. Third, they went to where people were.
        Surveys of people who do not attend any church indicate that 70-80% would go if personally invited by a friend. Surveys of church members have also found that less than 40% of church members have ever extended an invitation. Even fewer have ever personally shared the gospel with a non-believer. God wants to use us more than we want to be used, but we must follow the basics. Rely on His Spirit. Pray for Him to move in a mighty way. Love people enough to share. God will bless.
