DNA - Jesus is Our Master to Follow

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day He was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen. After His suffering, He showed Himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that He was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” (Acts 1:1-3)
     Passage: Ephesians 6:1-9 

        God designed humanity to be relational, and He designed authority structures in those relationships. In the home, parents have authority over their children until they become adults. In school, teachers and administrators have authority over students. In the workplace, the owner and assigned managers have authority over employees. In society, police and other governmental agencies have authority to enforce laws. Above all of these, there is only one supreme authority. He is God.
         When you put your faith in Jesus, God the Son, He Spirit came to permanently dwell in you. You were born into God’s family and you became His forever. Paul pointed out in 1 Corinthians 9:19-20 that you are not your own. Your salvation was purchased with the shed blood of Jesus on your behalf. He is your Master. When you respond obediently to His authority, He will guide you and use you to make a difference in this world.
