DNA - The DNA of the Spirit is Personally Received

     Passage: John 1:10-18 

         A survey taken a few years ago by the Pew Research Center asked Americans if they were absolutely certain there is a God. Only 63% answered, yes. Though 37% answered no, deep down everyone knows there must be a Master Designer/Creator behind the Universe when one honestly considers how everything could have come into existence without God. But accepting that there is a God and having a relationship with God is two different things.
Ecclesiastes 3:11b tells us, “He has put eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to the end.”
       Religions of the world are man’s attempt to connect to God by reaching up and earning his way to a heaven. The good news of the gospel reveals that God came down and lived as a man to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. To believe in Jesus as the Christ implies acknowledging that He is God the Son who paid the penalty for sin and putting your trust in Him alone. The salvation and eternal life God offers is exclusively found in Jesus, but it is offered inclusively to anyone in the world who will trust in Him. The moment you believed and personally received Jesus as Lord, the Holy Spirit entered your life, and you were born spiritually into God’s family. Praise and thank the Lord for that!
