Passage: Psalm 148:1-6
You are important to God. You were created in His image and for His purposes. Your life has an impact on others, from family to friends to people you do not know. The question is not whether you have an impact in this world. The question is what kind of impact do you have? The significance of that impact will not be on the number of people who have been impacted by you. It will be on the nature of the impact you had.
Ahab, king of the northern kingdom of Israel, had a negative impact on the nation and his family. He reigned for 22 years, but his son, Ahaziah, only reigned for two years. The legacy of Ahab’s life ended with Ahaziah, for there would not any heirs to follow in Ahab’s line of kingship. God brought judgement upon Ahab’s family and the nation suffered because of him. In your life, God’s wants to use you to make a positive impact for Christ that will go on beyond your earthly life. Make it your aim to have a positive impact for Him.
