Passage: 2 Corinthians 9:6-11
Kingdom partners are people who make an impact for Christ in many ways. One way is by giving support to God’s fellow workers through their friendship. Another way is by providing financial support through their stewardship. Aquila and Priscilla and then the believers in Macedonia are living examples of this in the life of Paul Aquila and Priscilla had a thriving business making tents. They recognized God’s ownership and that they knew they were stewards of all he provided. Part of their stewardship was providing a place for Paul to live without paying for room and board and then letting him work with them to earn finances to pay for his ongoing mission work.
When Silas and Timothy arrived in Corinth, they brought an offering from the believers in Berea and perhaps other churches. This partnership encouraged Paul and enabled him to devote his full-time back to preaching the gospel. Stewardship is one of the hardest spiritual disciplines to learn, but it comes with an absolute promise from God to bless those who practice it. Your stewardship is a partnership with God. He will bless you for it.
