Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise, they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.” (Matthew 13:15)
          Passage: John 4:27-35

John 4 records an experience early in Jesus’ ministry when He went from an area in Judea by the Jordan River and traveled back north toward Galilee. John 4:4 says, “Now He had to go through Samaria.” From a geographical standpoint, Jesus did not have to travel through Samaria. The disciples certainly wouldn’t have. They grew up hating Samaritans and any self-respecting Jews would travel out of their way to avoid going through Samaritan territory. However, Jesus purposely went there. He went because He was committed to doing His Father’s will and that will was to reach people. All people. Including Samaritans. During that journey, Jesus met a woman at a well and the result was an entire town coming to believe in Him.
Being in tune with God requires more than just looking at what He has done and listening to His Word if you have no intention of doing what He says. It requires a commitment to live and do God’s will. God has a plan to use you wherever you are and wherever you go. Start your day getting in tune with Him in the Word and then go through the day aware that you are His ambassador with a mission to bless and reach out to others. When you follow God’s plan, you will experience God in exciting ways.
