God Gives Success to His Work through United Participation of His People

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, helping them.” (Ezra 5:2)
      Passage: Ephesians 4:7-16

        God placed into creation a phenomenon that is called synergy. Synergy means that the combined power of a group working together is greater than the total individual part of the group working separately. One of the most vivid examples is seen in the power of draft horses. One draft horse can pull an average of 8,000 pounds. Two horses who work as a team can pull an average of 24,000-32,000 pounds. However, if they resist working together, they won’t be able to pull as much as if one was pulling alone.
      God blesses and uses the united participation of His people to grow His Kingdom. When a church is filled with people who joyfully serve, using their spiritual giftedness and God-given talents, the church can thrive in mission and ministry. No one in a church family can do everything, but everyone can do something. God has gifted you and He wants to use you in His Kingdom. Put your “yes” on the table and let Him use you along with others to help your church be all the Lord wants her to be.
