Jesus is Better than Anyone and Anything

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs.” (Hebrews 1:1-4)

         The world will not acknowledge it, but all the traditions of Christmas serve as reminders that He is the whole reason the season exists at all. The lights reflect that He is the Light of life. Gifts reflect that He is the Gift of God. The evergreens reflect that He gives eternal life. The music reflects that He is the Song. The spirit of the season reflects that in Him we can find joy and peace.
       Jesus has no rival. The writer of Hebrews points out that He is incomparable and better than anyone and anything. He is the perfect revelation of God. He is complete expression of God’s nature. He is the finished redemption for man. He occupies the exalted position in heaven as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is the Word of God and the Word is Christmas.
