Be Content in Christ

   Passage: Philippians 4:10-13

Are you content? One definition I heard of contentment is “contentment is knowing that God has already provided everything I need for my present happiness.” God loves you. You are created in His image and there is no one else exactly like you in all the world. You don’t have to add anything or anyone to your life to make God love you and to find meaning and purpose in life. You are enough.
On of the key attitudes for single adults to develop is contentment. Many single adults think that marriage will make them happy, but if that were so, the divorce rate would not be so high. There is nothing wrong with having a desire to marry or in setting goals for personal and professional growth, but if you are not content with who you are now, you won’t find contentment and happiness if you gain what you think you are missing. True and lasting contentment is found in a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. Spend time with Him in His Word and in prayer. Enjoy your walk with Him and be content. You are enough right now.
