Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” (1 John 1:14)
          Passage: Luke 2:8-12

A little boy was drawing a picture in class. The teacher asked who he was drawing. The boy said that he was drawing a picture of God. The teacher said, “No one knows what God looks like.” The boy replied, “They will when I get finished.” There are many pictures that have been drawn of the images the artists had of what Jesus may have looked like, but no one knows if any picture is even close to accurate, because no picture was done by an artist during the 33 years Jesus lived on earth. The people who did live during that time are the only ones who could accurately say they knew what God looked like because they saw God face to face when they saw Jesus.

Yet, through the gospels, we get a picture of Jesus. Not particularly in physical features. We get a picture of Him in His character and conduct. In that picture, Jesus lets us see God perfectly, because Jesus was and is God. He is the Son of God, who stepped out of heaven and wrapped Himself in human flesh and because human just like you and me with one exception. He did not have human father, therefore He was born without a sin nature. Like Adam, He had a free will as a man, but He lived a perfect, sinless life. Look at Jesus closely. In Him, you see God.
