Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: ‘Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.’ ” (Acts 2:14)
      Passage: Acts 2:22-41

When the Holy Spirit descended upon the 120 believers who were gathered in Jerusalem, there was a noise that caught the attention of thousands of people who were back in Jerusalem for Pentecost. Then, the Spirit gave the believers the miraculous ability to speak in the languages and even the dialects of those who gathered. Peter, the one who had run away in the Garden of Gethsemane and denied Jesus in the courtyard during His trial, now stood up and delivered the first gospel message of the church that called people to repent and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The passion Peter had that day was continued in his life and in the life of the early church. They had a passion to share Christ and a passion to minister to others in Jesus’ name. Rock Solid believers and churches will have that same passion. We are called to love God and love people and the world will not care what we share if we do not show that we care. Be passionate for God’s Kingdom and be rock solid for Christ.
