You are Important to God

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.” (Matthew 28:1)     
     Passage: Romans 5:1-11

        In first century Roman society and Jewish religious culture, women were not considered equal to men. They did not have as many rights as men, and they were not thought of as being as important as men. That was not what Jesus thought. Throughout His ministry, He showed that women and children were just as important as men and the fact that women were the first ones at the empty tomb and the first to see Jesus alive affirms it.
      God doesn’t need me or you to make Him complete, but He wants us in His family. God made you to love you and He came into this world to do for you what you could not do for yourself. He came to pay the penalty for sin and then defeat death through His resurrection. Your importance to God is not based on your parentage, your past or present actions, your personality, your possessions or your position in society. It is based on His love period. Thank God for His love and live life with the confident attitude that you are important to Him.
