JESUS - LORD AND SAVIOR - Jesus is Alive!

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. ‘Don’t be alarmed,’ he said. ‘You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen? He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.” (Mark 16:6-)
      Passage: Psalm 34:1-8

I heard of a preacher who thought it would be a cute idea to have a child announce the words of the angel that Jesus had risen at the beginning of the Easter service. A five year old was selected to speak, but when the pastor asked, “Where is Jesus?”, the child froze. The pastor leaned over and whispered, “He is not here. He is risen.” The child then called out, “He is not here. He’s in prison!” In services across the world, I’m glad that the announcement was made correctly. Jesus is risen! Jesus is alive!

In the world, that message is not believed and some liberal theologians even claim that the reality of the resurrection isn’t actually important to being a Christian. God’s Word claims otherwise. Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:14, “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.” If the resurrection of Jesus is not true, there is not hope of life after death. There is no reason to gather to worship and do what we do, since it would be meaningless. However, you can hold the truth with confidence. The resurrection occurred on the third day after Jesus was crucified. Jesus is alive! He is Lord and He is Savior! Thank God for the difference that makes for you
