Loving God’s Family Let’s His Blessings Flow

Read – (2 1/2 minutes) – “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in the homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:46-47)
   Passage: Psalm 133:1-3

        The first believers that became the first local church are the model that all churches should follow. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and they responded to Him and each other out of love for Jesus Christ.  They showed their love for the family of God by expressing interest through showing up for worship, fellowship, and the study of God’s Word. They showed their love by their involvement through serving in God’s Kingdom with the gifts He had given each one. They showed their love by their investment in being stewards of the resources God had provided to them.
        In that upper room on the night before He was crucified, Jesus told His disciples, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will now that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35) The first believers did that and the result was the blessing of God upon them and phenomenal growth in the church. God wants to bless every one of His local church families and His blessing will flow when believers show their love for Him and His family by what they do.
